The Paithan festival is another celebrated festival in Aurangabad. The festival is held in the months of March /April every year. During the Paithan fair Pilgrims from all across the country gather at Paithan village on the banks of the river Godavari to pay homage to saint Eknath Maharaj. The fair runs for 10 days with great enthusiasm and fun. Other festivals celebrated in Aurangabad like Diwali, Dussehra , Maha Shivratri, Budha Jayanti, Ganesh Chaturthi need no introduction as they are popularly known and celebrated in all parts of the country.
